The photographs on the site are really good. They are skillful and i
enjoy looking at em. It looks like it took a lot longer than 20
minutes to create the web site
It looked OK to me. (better than most)
Thank you all (Connie, sagetea, and whistler) for such
kind words.
And Connie, I went to high school in Tucson. It was,
errr... a _long_ time ago. A little school, out at
Flowing Wells, where there were still cotton fields in
1964! (Hmmmm, from the looks of your email addresses,
you might all be in Arizona???)
My web page has been around for more than a decade. I
am very much aware that some people still access the web
with dialup modems, and hence my webpage lacks any of
the glitter that merely takes up time when loading a
site. Suffice to say, the "look" it presents is not an
accident. It happens that I've hand written all of the
code that generates the pages, though I would hardly
claim it is anything significant. (The fact is that I
do not like programming in HTML at all, and what does
show up in the code is that it is all incremental and
relatively easy to see that the oldest page is the basis
for the next, and so on. :-)
I was out with the camera tonight, and probably will
shortly put up some really cute pictures of a juvenile
Snowy Owl. It let me walk up to about 10 feet away at
one point (the adult owls right now are hard to get
within a quarter mile of without them flying off).

I've only been in AZ (Tucson) since '93. I love it. I've lived all over the U.S., and for a while in far northern MN, so have seen a little of the "lights" and experienced much cold, although nothing like in Alaska, I'm sure, and especially as to duration. Anyway, there are similarities living in extreme climates. Like, we have to be very careful in summer; the other extreme needs to take special care in winter.
Your photos are beautiful; looking forward to young owl.
