is good, i must be a virtuous person* it's so easy to take credit for
one's good fortune and think someone else in desperate trouble must
somehow be morally inferior... so easy to look away

yet we all have our issues... we can't let go of em even for some
reason to hear a woman's heartfelt call for help on this venue. her
post becomes a place where people debate their own vendetti rather
than heed or respond in any meaningful way to the plea for help.

one bad blow, the roof falls in, someone loses a job, a tooth, a child
to the system, parents fight and the baby won't stop crying... the
strain gets to people and there's very little help anywhere for the
desperate... only frowning judgement on those who break and fall
apart, & idle, indifferent gossip and chatter

i myself am in need of sanctuary, i mean, i have been, and i've made
this place that is, more than anywhere else to me home. i need the
peace, the sweet sleepiness and safety of this tucked away place...
it's a blessing

  but i'm thinking of going up to vermont with the next convoy of  the
nefly gathering bound, if vermont it be... i'm not up on the
whereabouts that's always secondary to me anymore to the question of
how can i get there and is it even worth the fuss... but if it happens
to be northern vt i might could go and do a little research. what's
the safe house scene like in or around burlington, is there sanctuary
there for the mother of someone in desperate times. is there a food
bank, a community garden, any other kind of grass roots connection
there that might ease a person like gypsy into the area.

ya know, there's a lot of really nice people in new england. funny,
quirky individual types, prizers of liberty and justice, nothing if
not eccentric and wont to mind their own beeswax long as you mind
yours. but a neighbor in need is not denied a helping hand... believe
it or not folks, that's yankee tradition.
