First of all the citizens of the USA are programed to believe that
they have to be led and or told what to do like sheep. For some reason
folks feel the need to have a leader, someone to tell them what to do,
and at the same time seem to have a blind faith that there (leaders)
will lead them in the right direction. How sad! If a person wants to
run for a public office he or she doesnt have to have any kind of
experience or tract record he or she only has to have lots of $$$ or
the gift of gab,,,(a good bullshitter) What I am getting at is
this ,, Why must the elected officials live in a state of denial an
not look at the root of the problem which is (GREED an CORRUPTION)
both in Government an in corporations? This country is suffering for
what its leaders of -- corporations,, Banks,, (all lending
institutions) an the politicians that have been on the take for such
for a long time. An now the circle is complete an its ,,,Pay up time,,
an the answer is not printing up $$$ that does not exist an bailing
out the over grown brat kids that were living like wingnuts out of
control Folks that desire $$$ an power must be made accountable. Not
rewarded for there recklessness an fly by night
attitude.
I was looking at CNN yesterday morning an I saw some women from Ohio
telling folks from that state to,,,Squat on the houses they are fixing
to loose. She said she is sick an tired of ,,,wall street,, an the big
banks getting (bailout money) an doing nothing with it to help the
folks getting ,,foreclosed. She sounded pissed,, like PMS pissed. WOW!
Squatter’s rights were once just that, a protected right. When they
did away with squatter’s rights they also gave the police (sheriff’s
deputies etc.) the authority to act as the owner in the event of an
absent property owner. IOW they can charge you with trespassing even
though there may be no complaint. Such is the case in the event of an
abandoned property, there-by guaranteeing homelessness. I can’t
believe it; the banks get to keep the foreclosed property AND get
bailout dollars then they don’t even have to secure the property
because the police do that at taxpayer expense. It was through
squatter’s rights that a person or a group of people could homestead
abandoned property with minimal requirements such as keeping an
assessable road or maintaining the roof and other vital structures and
the likes. GONE, and have been for sometime and as we can see things
have gotten out of hand.
In all fairness one of the reasons they did away with squatting was
the effect it had on adjacent properties often bringing down property
values, but today entire neighborhoods are becoming blighted because
there’s no one to maintain the properties. I say put people in these
houses before you give the banks any money. It’s a lot easier for a
person to become employed (there-by paying taxes) when they have a
roof over there head.
Chuck
Many of the banks are beginning to loose track of all the foreclosure
paper work cause of the numbers.
It’s actually worst than that because these mortgages are packaged
into security bonds (I had that backward in an earlier post) which are
all over the world. This is the reason whole neighborhoods are
becoming blighted and quite frankly I’m beginning to think that may
have been part of a greater scheme. With energy needs becoming the
forefront concern and nobody wants a nuclear power plant in their
backyard there isn’t much choice when nobody lives there. And the few
who may remain can easily be bought out when they’re living in a
blighted area.
No need. "They" just claim "Imminent Domain" and take.
Sanity
True, but then the gov looks like the bad guy. By dressing it up a
bit the gov comes across more as a savior by bringing in long term
union scale jobs, and meeting the area’s energy needs and the likes.
By the way onhttp://www.democracynow.org/Rep. Marcy Kaptur is urging
homeowners to stay in their foreclosed homes claiming they have
squatter’s rights.
Chuck
Thats the women I was referring to Rep. Marcy Kaptur. She was blasting
Wall street, the big banks, an lending institutions that get bail out
money an then spend it on themselves,,, they used to call that
(organized crime)???
I feel like people are finally getting fed up with those that seem to
think that they can get filthy rich (at the expense) of others. A few
years ago I saw some of the big oil co, CEOs that were asked to appear
before congress to answer questions as to why gas prices were climbing
so high an so fast,,, the ones that did choose to speak talked in
circles while the others were rolling there eyes while looking at
there rolex watches. Ya gota luv it!
