Why call God "him"?  Sirius-ly you ol' dog...  God told the
Israelites: “Let Sol (the bright and morning Star, the Light of the
world, the Sun that shines on everyone equally) be your king.”  But
they had wax in their ears or something, thought He’d said “Saul,” and
things have been going down hill ever since…

Perfect time of the year: Go outside after sunset and look east on a
clear night.  Orion’s belt (the “Three Kings”) lines up with (follow)
Sirius the dog star (the Star in the East) and point to the point on
the horizon  where the Sun of God will rise (be born) on the morning
of the 25th of December…
“- and the truth shall set you free.” – Jesus (attributed)

Peace be upon you, Sanity

You ask ‘Why call God "him"?’ and I’ll answer, “That’s how he
introduced himself to me.”  I know that sounds weird but hey, I can’t
stop him from speaking.  OTOH I make every effort on this forum to
avoid using any gender when referring to the Spirit and that largely
in part because this is after all a physical attribute and there is
nothing physical that can be attributed to God’s person.  I’m open to
other’s take on the subject and with all due respect hope that others
will do the same for me.

The way I read the New Testament Jesus was telling everyone they
needed a personal 1 to 1 relationship with God without intermediaries,
and the priesthood had him killed because he was a threat to their
revenue source. As far as I’m concerned, your relationship with the
Creator of the Cosmos is your business alone, as long as you’re not
violent… More slaughter has been justified “because God said so” than
for any other reason in history, and enough is enough.

Peace, Sanity
