too OVER qualified and that no one around there would
hire him because they'd be affraid that he'd take their jobs.

Chuckle, I have had folks look at my two grad degrees and
say much the same to me from time to time since I began my
search ...
Still, 20 interviews in the last year or so isn't bad, grin ...
