Well, that is somewhat helpful but one must have $$ to follow them
rools.
The best advice in that site was:
"If you have the land, time, and resources, grow your own food. As
long as you make sure you're not buying GM seeds, and aren't near any
GM plants which could cross-pollinate, you'll know for sure that the
food which comes from your garden is not genetically modified."

Of course "make sure you're not buying GM seeds"
and "aren't near any GM plants"
is rather a tall order....

But the part about "if you have the land..." - check out community
garden options!
LOOK INTO COMMUNITY GARDENS (aka Victory gardens)
In Boston:
http://www.fenwayvictorygardens.com/
"HOW TO JOIN
Any resident of Boston can have a plot in the Fenway Victory Gardens,
subject to availability and willingness to adhere to the Fenway Garden
Society Guidelines and Regulations. The annual fee is $30 for a single
plot and/or $15 for seniors (55 and over), only one plot is available
to new gardeners."

http://www.communitygarden.org/
"The Mission of the American Community Gardening Association is to
build community by increasing and enhancing community gardening and
greening across the United States and Canada.

Personally I think buyng "organic" in the supermarket is a crap shoot,
and probably trying to eat locally produced food AMAP is the first key
to healthy living - healthy for you, healthy for our mother.
Speak out against GMO and try to avoid it, but it ain't easy.

Gene splicing is Ice-9 imho

watch out
