Actually, Jesus told his followers to be "fishers of men," meaning he
asked that they be evangelical, missionaries. It is therefore very
Christian to try to convert non-believers. I wonder if he could see
the trouble that has wrought if he would reconsider. The same goes
for the whole "go forth and multiply" thing. (I know that's Old
Testament.) That all worked out very well until the last hundred
years or so. Now it's a big problem.
