Many tribes, many paths, remember?
A lot of folks don't do Natl or at least not regularly
due to personal concerns and responsibilities,
financial headaches, health, and other reasons.
I admit I have on occasion felt some envy of those
who manage to get together with folks regularly.
Some folks flat-out refuse to go to anything bigger
than weekend campouts, regionals, drum circles, or
sitting with folks at a small dinner due to being
fed up with this or that ... or simple burnout.
That doesn't mean they aren't KIN ...
Like Chuck, I would not presume to defend Sanity,
he is more than capable ...

I'm not putting him down as a human being, perhaps in his own way he's
an OK sort of person. My question is why would someone who doesn't
like the way gatherings happen and has no intention of doing anything
about it continue to stay on a newsgroup for the event? Just to be
able to bitch and moan about something? I don't see him calling for
any gatherings in a national forest where if he went he'd have to
actually deal with the reality of getting a citation and paying a fine
or possibly going to jail for 90 days. All I see is someone with
negative energy ready to bad mouth anyone looking for solutions to the
current problems. I don't see him offering any new ideas. It's quite
one thing to say oh just go to the woods and camp because I know the
constitution or whatever says you can and actually doing so.
