Educate the world by buying a laptop computer

The One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project has announced that it will begin
selling its XO computers to the general public on a limited basis. It
will be done on a 'Buy 2, Get 1' model. The purchaser pays for 2
computers. The purchaser gets 1, and the other goes to a child in a
developing country.

The XO Laptop has been designed as an education tool. It is believed that
with these computers, and the vast array of resources they will unlock for
students and teachers in developing nations, a revolution in education can
take place that will vastly improve the lives of people in those countries.

The XO also has several interesting features that can make it a very
useful tool to people in the developed world too.

Initially, the XO will only be on sale to the public for two weeks. This
is because of uncertain demand. By purchasing one for Yourself and a
child, You will help increase the number of children who will benefit from
this educational tool. It also possible to purchase individual XO
computers that will then be provided to children in developing nations.
