Not sure what it is about the grass 'round here but we blew out
lawnmowers & weed-eaters continuously for the first couple of years
that we lived here, then we bought one of these:

It's a little pricey but still cost less than what we spent on
lawnmowers, etc, before buying it.

For bein' in town, your place is pretty sweet; we used to camp at the
state park behind you & it always amazed me how much wildlife was
there & how the deer didn't seem to be very afraid of humans.

Woody? you got frogs? my friend east of you says that despite all
the rain he doesn't hear much frog song. maybe agri run off pollution
doing them in? **shrug**.

PS. have given up trying to sell our land for now. housing market has
crashed big time and few banks are making loans. maybe next year ...
tho if the pollution there is so bad that there's no frog song we may
decide to just stay where we are. plenty of frogs singing here now
that the rains have begun.

I'd keep putting in free ads like on craigslist. Frogs? We got em
here. They jump out of the way when I'm mowing. I don't know about
other places, but right here there's State forest behind me and a
creek. We gots deer, lots of big birds, and other critters- pretty
