missing old daypack from annual, sentimental value

kind,
at 2007 annual around the 10th of july at bridge on flat large rocks
about 20 feet or so from river after crossing the home made bridge on
where 'montana mud' side of river, an old beatup looking orange day
pack with patches & sewed up much, was next to my tent which was
folded up in its bag, with a plastic bag with junk stuff, took a walk
with someone i'm told. i missed the person by minutes i was informed.
i was keeping it their during day for last few days after the 7th, for
i thought that was safest place to keep my stuff during cleanup during
the day, then lug it around which having a broken back, i need to not
do.
a few other rainbows around there told me someone just picked it up
& was looking for its owner, i guess it looking old & ragged, was
about to be tossed, & the person may of recalled someone wearing it
during the gathering.
it was filled with lots of junk stuff to others so maybe thought it
was a throw away or headed to trash, so dumped it with trash & someone
else may of picked it up, for same or different reasons. or put it in
a trash bag, which i began to look through up at top for a couple days
sorting where sorting recycleables out of trash bags happened, by main
rd. entrance, or was meant to get me up there helping sort out
recyclables from trash bags, which i did for a couple days, & believe
me, there sure was a need for many helpers doing that, for only a
handful was actually doing that while i was there till about the 13th.
in fact 50 people were needed to get the about 15 high by 50 long by
10 feet wide mt. of trash bags, but i don't think there was that many
people left. surely there is a need in the future one would assume for
rainbow people if possible to give one day of sorting recycleables out
of the trash bags, so that a few aren't left having to do the job, the
bags were generating their heat one could feel already on the 12th
from rotting material being wet.
50 people would of took i'd guess 3 days to got though that pile
leaving whats left baged for landfill. so even if only a few hours was
given on way out, that would help if many of the thousands could
afford to help, is my witness. what went on after the 13th i know not
or read anything yet concerning.
in my ragged missing day pack that has sentimental value in itself is
a holy bible with
cover missing, about 5 lbs of collard seeds for sprouting or growing,
& other unimportant stuff to others, that looked like trash. in fact
maybe others thinking its trash began putting trash in it.
may of had a greyhound receipt to clarksville. & 10% off next
greyhound ride.
this day pack once had green camo on it, i've had it over 20 years it
seems, maybe much longer. & was helpful in saving the last unprotected
old growth redwood grove outside of eureka, ca., about 3,000 acres of
the tallest trees on earth. solid ancient old growth redwoods all
about 350 feet high over 1,000 years of age, now saved around the year
2,000 a.d., as a u.s.a. wilderness reserve along with about 4,500
acres of residual old growth as a buffer zone that a few years ago the
u.s.a. put paid about 1/2 billion dollars & california paid 50 million
to pacific lumber whom seemingly was about to clear cut it.
thousands of arrests, many many battered & even more from around the
planet came in late 1980's, early 1990's into late 1990's, & produced
redwood summer 1& 2 along with base camps for actions to save whats
left of the about 5% of the 2 million acres of the tallest trees on
earth located in northen coastal california & tip of southern oregon,
including one reported death, that today people will be able to
witness the reality of the song, 'from the redwood forests to the
gulfstream waters, this land was made for you & me'.
today they are no known legal national redwood forests, they been cut
in the last 150 years, there is a national & state redwood park, & a
state forest called jackson state redwood forest in mendicino county
of about 50,000 acres publicly owned that needs protecting, that
contains old growth groves, near ft, bragg on the coast west of
willits. news says its all up for harvest. & a city of arcata
community redwood forest of about 600 plus acres of 2nd growth. & now
the redwood reserve, of about 7,500 acres of about 3,000 acres of old
growth, which now has a trail kept of by federal government rangers so
the public may enter & witness a most sacred feeling area of all
forests i been in, it sure is of the most sacred i been in, like going
back into history to whom one once was before cities came about. they
say there is no poisonous mushrooms in old growth redwoods.
hopefully soon a redwood national forests could be produced from
acquiring old growth redwoods land owned by logging companies that own
the rest of the ancient redwoods called sequoia sempervirens. though
for them to not harvest any in a national forest, rules probably would
have to be implemented for that forest.
these trees are related to sequoia gigantia in sierra nevada mts. in
california which are the wider & older living, 3,000 plus years of
age, but not taller, & a chinese dwarf redwood is all thats left of
this family of no tap root trees that once circled the earth long ago.
big enough to drive a car through one can witness still. fossils found
in petrified forest in arizona report claims.
well i'm always looking for a place to plug in the need in the remote
place of the tallest trees on earth, & this day pack was instrumental
in protecting my life & allowing me to be of help in keeping this
national treasure to children whom sing this song in grade school
growing up.
so if by some chance the person still held on the daypack, maybe
knowing it was about to be disposed of, so took it for safe keeping,
but had to leave, or couldn't find me, or me them. i'm still hoping,
but if someone has given it a home & its contents, welcome. & if any
of the sorters came about it going through the trash, i left a message
with some, i still would want it & will pay for it to be shipped.
though you may keep the holy bible if needed, i have another.
sempervirens means: forever living or forever green is the latin
meaning of the name.
