I came to the National gathering near Fallsville around the 4th of
July and was very exciting since my last experiences in 1996
(Missouri) and 2001 (Idaho) were awesome, wonderful, so great !
But this time was very different. First, the mud (mud theme as someone
said) made it special. Well, it rained so much but didn't the rainbow
people use to say that the weather is according to ourselves ? Why
didn't happen any rainbow in the sky as I saw it so many times even
without rain before ?
The lack of organization was also significant. But I remembered 40 000
Rainbow people in 1996, a little less but still many in 2001 and now
just thousands on the 4th of July...
Where are they, where are you ?
Why having organized a national Rainbow gathering in Arkansas that
seems to be a police state where cops are everywhere ?
Why no more this magical sentence shouting or whispering anytime,
everywhere, in the forest, main circles and places : "WE
LOOOOOOOOOOOVE YOU" ?
Of course there are still such beautiful faces, still such beautiful
hugs to share but I felt it less vibrant than it used to be. Less
joyful, less....
Sorry to bother you with all these questions but I would appreciate if
some of you could answer because I wonder whether it's the end of the
Rainbow, or if some I knew stopped going to gatherings and rather go
to private parties or gatherings (like in Ibiza) or, like flowers in
the wind, are starting to swarm towards new underground movements....

Every gath is unique (eunique- european spelling) so you might have
just happened on two that were similar before. The cooption of the
front door is a serious problem, but i have faith it can be
corrected, don't lose heart, I have full faith that the stuborn folks
will slog-on and persevere.
