This years Gathering(s)

Why are the local families for the past seven or eight years being
left out of the loop? I'm close to where the National is going to be
and what I'm hearing is totally different than what a bunch of people
on the National scene are trying to put out.

I will say one thing about the grass lands, who the hell has been
there during the summer? Oh, it can be a balmy 105 with a fire danger
as high as "if you fart in the wrong direction a fire will start".
Also, remember that cute little phrase "tornado alley"? I think of
flying tepee's and Urte's. "Look bro, see that dome tent 100 ft up? I
wonder if anyone is in it?" Maybe that's the FS's plan, eliminate the
hippies via Tornado, can't blame a natural disaster on the Government.

I've seen this split developing for years and guess what, there are
experienced and "qualified" scouts in the local area here. And, the
US Document Depository (remember, where you can see all the new Topo
and area maps) is in Columbia. Anybody who wants to play with Kline
and Brian Michaels I at least question. And yes, I'm at somebody
house, but guess what, we don't always agree on anything, but Goddamn,
when we don't agree we just agree to disagree and it doesn't go
anyfurther than that. It doesn't effect our relationship. He doesn't
kick me and my family out on the streets or start shooting rounds at
my head.

I've been in on a conference call and I've been in contact with a few
people and the general consensious(SP?) down here is "*** the grass
lands". Funny thing is, we were looking at original pictures of
buses from the early '80's this morning and somepeople that post here
even signed the book that they're in.

I think Rainbow is a vision and a dream and a conception of what
things can be for a little while on the face of this earth.

A lot of personal trips are being injected into this vision and I
don't agree with it. Now, I won't fault people for doing what they
want, but I will fault people for not taking other people's
considerations into mind and thought.

So what's it going to be, another cluster ***? Or, something akind
to our vision of what Rainbow possibly could be?

By the way, scout council for the Missouri Regional will be on Sunday
the 13th of May. Location to be announced one week prior with the
Regional occuring starting on May 30th, Location also to be
