This word "non-member". It is strange and alien to me in the context it
is used of a relation to a council. Why do they say "non-member"
instead of "member"? And is this a correct usage within Rainbow Family
terminology?
Respectfully, DAN 1
As I understand it (and I've been corrected here before) "non-members"
keep the family out of the "Group" classification. It by its nature
implies no leaders. All this due to the government's continued focus
on establishing the family as an organization. Which is rather comical
considering the nature of the family. The only One to give birth to
this family is the Spirit of the family and this is the Only leader.
You cannot arrest a Spirit so the government picks for "us" (watch that
word) "secret leaders" and place unwarranted burdens upon them (even
prison time) to keep the rest in line, so to speak. I have no idea who
these people are doing the encyclopedia, but they're having to work
with an organized body so it seems they simlpy want some orchestrated
effort on the part of those wishing to contribute. Something of a
catch-22. As for me I applause their efforts.

I'm not clapping. Trying to limit or restrict a rainbow gathering to
within the scope of a definition is absurd and insulting. Form FOLLOWS
function. Language is a tool, not an end in itself. These jerks
pontificating in the direction of Wikipedia, throwing their personal
ideologies out as representative of the whole of hue-manity, were not
elected to the task.

Nor can anyone ever be... which begs the effort of an individual to at
least bring to the world's attention this thing (whatever "rainbow" has
become by whosoever's definition) exists. Personally I could never
indulge in this particular activity for the want of uninterrupted
freedom to write my knowledge about it. As it is there's an edit war.
So what will become of "it" is just what I would expect and exactly the
effort (the trying) I applaude. The world needs to see it as it is
nothing less nothing more. Too cool.
