Holy shit! I think very much that we did this! Hallelujah for cooler
minds
prevailing and logic and common sense (though it be in shorter supply
than
its very name infers) shining forth!

You bet, you did it. And every single person who invested the time to
send an email, post a message, sign the petition, or pass on
information.

Thanks to all of you Rainbow People. You're beautiful!

Hello, Richard!

Thanks for putting up your website to get these guys out. You definitely
got a head start on the momentum of the thing and we carried the ball at
alt.gathering.rainbow, and then throughout the country with the petition and
all.

It's amazing what we can do when we try, but let's not forget that some
potential political considerations are really what has driven the release,
namely, the threat of a boycott of a tourist town, which could potentially
spell doom for the local economy and thereafter political death for the
involved public figures. If this was small town southern USA forty years
ago, and a young black man's life was held in the balance, what would the
chances have been? I am overjoyed at this outcome and don't want to rain on
anyone's parade, but internet or no, without the political ramifications, I
doubt we could have succeeded in this.
