Socialism is a much healthier form of government for the planet. -w-
Tell that to someone who has lived in eastern europe before 1989.

Well talk to me about it- I mean I might not have it right- when I was
much younger I believed very much in Carl Marx's view- that all human
beings deserved good food, water, clean air, and a place to call home,
and medical care. The only problem I eventually saw in this view was
that it lacked incentive for achievers who deserved more than these
basics, which is how I see Socialism, but if not Socialism, what? -w-
Christianity? Marx was a plagiarist and stole the ideas of 'from each
according to his abilities' and 'to each according to his need'
straight out of the Acts of the Apostiles. Or 'we' could try government
without leaders/DECIDERS like Carl Marx, George Washington, or G.Dubya
Bush....
But I don't know how to get away from them. If I had a big ferry I
would love to do water world and be out of "their" jurisdiction- but
still, "they" are killing the oceans too.
Thing about leaders is they'll often lead you astray. Thing
about socialism is the bureauocracy that forms to make sure everyone's
good food, water, clean air, place to call home, and medical care gets
where it's spoz'ta be is often dishonest. Bottom line: whatever the
form, if functional checks and balances don't hold everyone equal under
the same set of rules/laws, what you wind up with de facto is another
feudal aristocracy under a new and improved euphemism for
justification.
And that's the way I see it, 8-23-2006,

ok- but what practical solutions are there? I see "Christianity" as
just another bureauocracy. -w-
That is what "Christianity" has become. I don't know. Get off the
grid as much as you can and die as painlessly as possible?
"-government even in its best state is but a necessary evil and in its
worst state an intolerable one; for when we suffer, or are exposed to
the same miseries by a government, which we might expect in a country
without government, our calamity is heightened by reflecting that we
furnish the means by which we suffer!" - Thomas Paine, 1776
I don't have much hope lately.
Sanity
I see hope- I mean if what's happening in South America is any measure.
These times are gloomy, I agree, but the awareness of the planet as a
whole seems to be rising, and not just merely awareness in many places-
but people are standing up to greed and oppression from what I read. I
think the country with the dumbest masses reside in this country
though. Stiil, I see technology as helping to overcome the stupidity of
the masses. Thank gawd for computers and internet. -w-
