I had this vision that I will now share with you all in celebration
during
this the week of my forty-ninth birthday. It is my present to you all
just as
it was a present to me from Great Spirit several years ago. It is a
very great
and powerful vision about a very many fragile threads and tenuous bits
of
light. It is a very simple vision about a very many complex things
over a
very great span of time. As the thanksgiving council of 96 in Oregon
was
concluding (which conclusion occurred over many hours, of course, the
layers
of business and various social matters and exchanges closing like a
lotus
petal by petal) I sat entranced by this movie I was seeing in many
dimensions
at that time that represented many things over much time. I could talk
to
people as needed but reverted to the bittersweet vision as if to a
dream
between conversations. But never were the people in that room and
their
various discourses not part of the dream. I saw that each of these
brothers
and sisters, and myself, too, were scapegoats of society, but messiahs,
redeemers of humanity, too, not singly saviors, but in tribal
cooperation and
array. That it was/is a very foolish thing to be a rainbow, but
courageous
and daring, though often enough fun and pleasurable for all the dangers
(which
come pandirectionally). And in any final analysis, being a rainbow was
the
only thing there is to be! Being a rainbow is redeeming of this
planet,
redeeming of my life, redeeming of humanity. I saw us as holy clowns
dancing
down the pathway of the space/time continuum. I could actually see far
down
the centuries to a time where the US would be no more. That there were
no
countries/nations. But there was still a rainbow. And yet there was a
US in
the sense that everything good about it was yet with the rainbow--and
that was
much the point with the vision: that being rainbow was to contain all
things
at least potentially. That all people's ways were able to be
considered,
expressed, remembered. It was that diversity itself, that fluidity
combined
with earthiness that was redeeming. It was because of the open
heartedness not
because of doctrinal rigidity and some superiority that the tribe
survives.
Because of love; not because of hate. Because of laughte; not because
of fear.
And it all came down to the earth; the tribe and the land were one. And
this
was a long, long path I watched, upon which there was a lot of green
and a lot
of sticks and a lot of smiling faces that knew an awful lot of
information
about a great variety of things. And drums. Always the drums. And
singing.
All this was very beautiful and breath stopping. Odd tattoos and
fabrics and
jewelry, all very handsome. And this Long Tribe is what I have been
dedicated
to ever since; I'm dedicated to all of us, from Now till
Then-and-Onward. I
could almost make out the faces and forms of the rainbow that will be
even
when homo sapiens has evolved to being another species... I could feel
the
echoes from that far off for certain... And I'll tell you you'd know
them!
They are rainbows! Well. That's the vision. I've saved it a long time
for
this hour. I give it to you! And when I have said above that it was a
bittersweet vision, it is just that that is the lot of humanity. This
mortal
manifestation is, after all, played out on a hard scrabble planet. But
there
is more sweet than bitter in the vision I have. Miranda, Raven, She

has been away from agr, where does one begin? or doesn't one? I mean,
other than go see to the "all" thread one has begun? I mean it's all
a bit dense and unrainbowish here, as it were. and yes, I remember of
rainbow's apparent demise, but still and all, first causes and
founders' intentions and all that... <R>
