The only problem with that idea is that nothing about rainbow gathering is a private activity. It's just part of being a free, diverse, tolerant and inclusive public activity.

People who first promoted secrecy around rainbow gathering ended up being the same ones who sprung the permit trap.

Making things private means only the NSA gets to share your secrets.

A public activity serves the public, not a some clannish and secretive inner circle. It happens where the people are. It doesn't hide from the light.
