Re: Where I buy most of my 'pewter stuff

okay. i see that one mightn't approve of a pieman's agr panhandle to get
his box fixed (or replaced). and after all the many years of computing he's
done, and living in the very belly of the scroungable culture as he (i
think) probably does, maybe he should be willing to work harder and do
better.
on the other hand I wouldn't want aron to work on my machine, and I doubt
you would either.. and either of us might be free to do it for him, but I'm
not as it turns out...

now this 19.00 atx case your promoting: what motherboards will it support?
the product isn't readily found anywher on the mge site and outpost lists no
details. is there ay reason to think this case would help pieman. what
wattage is the power supply that failed? can he actually replace it with
300 watts. would you start over with a discontinued case and a 300w power
supply? i might, and I might(probably) not.

your first suggestion (just replace the power supply: with same or better
wattage and the correct form factor [=dimensions+size+shape]) is liable to
be the most economical, since there's a guy (in my mind's eye) in pieman's
neighborhood with a flyer on a phone pole and a pile of surplus power
supplys on his landing.
then again there's a luck of the draw involved, and not every belly longs
for more hard tack.

miss you (miss brown, too.)
