even basic intelligence.

I've been having some video display problems on my laptop. When
presented as a choice on bootup, the options for mouse presented as
serial, ps/2, sb(ps/2)

I had no idea what sb(ps/2) was - I presumed some esoteric linux kind
of thing.

It was, of course, my screen display problem hiding
the "u" in usb(ps/2) .

I have now entered usb (not just sb) at the mosue option prompt during
bootup and all works fine.

Once again now
