Okay, what some are saying is that it would be nice if each state had
it's own annual, in addition to a regional.
Then what would be the sense in rotating the annuals amongst the
states? I think we should respect the consensus, and not hold another
advertised large gathering at the same time. This is a special time for
the state that is chosen, and many can make it. I think we should
respect the "old" way, and let the family consensus where the Annual
is. And respect the decision as a whole.
Why not the Missouri Thing be after or before the Annual, and
then travelers can stop in their travels, or something like that.
It is just there are more Rainbow voting at the annual, so it
seems if we (in Missouri) are part of the Rainbow Family we can go
along with the consensus. If we want to make a difference we should
rent a big giant moving truck and go to the "real" council for the
annual at Colorado(which was chosen in WV, which was chosen in
California) and then maybe the next year it could be in Missouri. If
you can't go, then you can't go, but you should still respect the
phamily's decision. Its like wanting all the gatherings that have
anything to do with you right out your back-door. How far did
Lookingheart, Lazer Mike, and any others involved in the A-Gathering of
the Tribes Live from it?
It is a honor to be chosen for the Annual. We Rainbow in
Missouri should respect that without a doubt. It is up to us in
Missouri to council for "our" Rainbow Family of Living Light Regional,
which is not on the 4th of July. The Rainbow Family of Living Light (
whom are one) use that for the Annual Date. Being from Missouri, can't
I ask if we can respect that?
Maybe at Fall Council we could discuss if there has to be a
Rainbow Gathering in Missouri on July 4th.
