I buy what I can afford. most of the time I'm stuck in my apartment
because I now have trouble negociating the stairs (at least until an
apaertment opens up downstairs) I get to shop once a month or so and
usually can only shop at on store, so I pick the one where I can get
everything at once, because my disiblilities prevent me from going more
than one place, so I go to the WallyWorld Super Center. I don't drive
anymore and my case manager usually takes me shopping. I buy whatever
is cheapest because I wouldn't eat all month if I didn't, & sometimes I
go without food for the last couple of days, but a little fasting never
hurt anyone. I do fairly well at bugeting my funds every month, I even
own this computer, allot of my computer stuff I barter for by doing
graphics, fliers, book markers (for the local library) and in exchange
they get me ink, paper, CD-Rs or DVD-Rs. You are barking at the wrong
person, I have worked in slauter houses and pultry plants and have see
first hand how the animals are treated and agree that some of the
workers seem like sadists. But I'm in survival mode at this point in my
life, and don't really have the option or luxury of have any agendas.
My daily life is nothing but physical pain and lack of sleep. The only
real enjoyment, if you could call it that is my computer. Yesterday I
fell trying to get to the bathroom but I try to take it in stride, and
I'm stubbern and want to do for myself so don't usually ask for help
and just do without for a couple of days because it won't kill me.
These days I don't even taste food, eating is just an action to
maintain life, and I don't really have a favorite food anymore. I eat
because I have to to survive. Sometimes I foret to eat and that's
probably a good thing because these days I have a spare tire around my
waist. There are folks here on this newsgroup who would probably not
recognize me these days because I was always skinny but not anymore.
