Hehe the veteran players I see on the forums and suchlike are so far
ahead of me in skill level that its a challenge to find out the
basics, while they're talking about really complicated endgame builds
and stuff :-) Sometimes it takes newbies who've poked around a bit to
be informative on the little things I guess!

One of many reasons that I'll only glance at the forums if pointed to
them, and not always then. I much prefer the community of news groups,
and seem to learn more of the kind of information that I'm looking
for.

Agreed entirely, the forums go right over my head with the depth of
info, or else it's people whining and bitching about what they don't
like, neither of which is too useful!

Also, please remember that even though I totally understand your
feelings of "noobishness", you are and will probably remain way ahead
of me, in this particular game, at least until the time I can swing
upgrades for my computer, and most likely for a long time after ;-)

Hehe I may be ahead right now, but I don't have the D2 background
which I imagine is a big help to everyone else playing! That said I
seem to be learning well, given I found Act 3 easier on Nightmare than
I did on Normal, clearly I've figured out better tactics along the way
:-)

Maybe, I'm not sure, because from everything I've heard, D3 is a
totally different game than the first two. But you've found the best
places (IMO) to discuss and learn about it, and that's probably the
biggest help to all ;-)
