Actually I just logged in to take a look, the other raids are on a
whole separate tab to the raid finder, with a whole different
interface (which is the same one that's been around for ages, was
definitely in use in WotLK), so I guess they figured that would be a
clue :-P Can see it being a little confusing that they're on the same
overall UI window but there's limits to how many different buttons and
windows they can have for access to different things, I guess!

Sheepish of my to say, but I've been playing a few years now and I never
knew about the old raid finder system. heh...Whenever I pugged ICC, AV
(Wintergrasp) or the old weekly raids (which BTW I think they should
bring back for the cata content - ie: "Halfus Must Die!!") I always
went right for trade chat. Guess it's like the in-game voice
chat....It's there but no one uses or used it...(funny how I new about
that one but not the raid finder, eh? lol)

Well - Thanks for setting me straight! lol :)

Lol, it's no wonder you didn't realise they were separate then! Hardly
anybody used the old raid browser even in WotLK tbh; I used it for
VoA, it was used quite a bit for that early in the expansion (at
least, flagging myself as a healer usually resulted in an invite, and
I could usually see a group or two forming in it if we'd only just
taken WG) but it died out over time and doesn't seem touched at all as
of Cata.

Btw the old raid browser is pretty much the same as what LFD used to
be, before crossrealm dungeons, so if you never saw the old dungeon
finding system, that's about it :-) List yourself for one and see
who's listed themselves for it, or if any groups are forming, it
didn't work great though because you had to be listed for something to
be able to browse (at least raid browser had a browse mode...) and a
lot of us preferred to look around rather than list ourselves for
something and get stuck in a group with one other person that never
got any bigger!
