Patch 4.2 impressions

So, I'm patched, my addons updated and I log in. So far the only addon that
occasionally throws an error is Carbonite.

Opening my oracle egg dropped the green proto drake, I had stopped hoping to
ever get it. Yay.

I got a dozen keys in my mailbox, all but one I sold. I got about 15 gold
worth for other keys in my mail. I also got two companions, I guess
retroactively for the 100 and 125 pet achievment, which I had fulfilled some
time ago but which were re-dated today. I also got the retroactive new
achievment for being exalted with my guild and for getting 30k gold from
quests. I found quite a few new achievments that I can aim for: daily
fishing and cooking in Darnassus and IF both have a number, collecting 150
pets (though that seems unrealistic). Despite getting 2 new achievments I am
only 10 points higher than yesterday, so they must have removed one, though
I have no clue which one.

I checked out the JP vendor, though it was a hard job finding him in the
masses of people there. Saw the new currency display instead of the gold and
had a quick look at the new items. At least boots and pants will be a major
upgrade for my hunter (though he only has 740 JP :), I'll need to check the
items out with my shaman.

I saw a new option "Move Pad" that I didn't see mentioned either in the
official patch notes or the undocumented ones. When I tried enabling it it
caused a LUA error and a box saying "MovePad_Blizzard could not be loaded,
corrupt". Hm.

There is a new faction "Avengers of Hyjal", I suposse they are tied to the
new fireland raid.

One thing I noticed is that my movements seem very sluggish. The speed
indicator properly shows 100% (walking) and 451% (flying), but the wing beat
or my leg movement seems much slower than it used to be. Takes a lot of
getting used to. My frame rate

I have just finished the Thrall questline and that was rather disappointing
I felt, though it gave me a nice iLevel 365 epic cloak to replace the one I
had just gotten from Ahune a few days ago, and of course the romantically
cheesy bits are heart wrenching ;-)

Next I'll head over to the new daily areas (there is a shitload of
achievments for those, that should give me something to do).
