Correct.... I don't get 33K in a heroics. Hell, I don't usually get in in a raid. The stars were aligned, crits were going my way and the such. I was just jazzed to see the 30K barrier break, even if it was a 25 second burst on a burn phase.

On a 5 man, I only run arcane now, and usually end with a 14-19K average, depending if I'm cc'ing for any reason. (ie - keeping the purple trogg sheeped during the first boss in H Grim batol) There are two hunters in my guild, with lower gear than me who still usually out dps me though. 12-13K is really pretty good in heroics an nothing to sneeze at :)
Of course 12-13k is nothing to sneeze at. The problem is, I'm not getting
it, I am stuck somewhere in the low 9k and was wondering if that is just
gear dependent or if I can improve my rotation.

No problem.

I have two hunters in my guild, including the GM. He has two hunters on
the same realm, his main and a level 81 alt he tests things on and runs
regular dungeons (non-heroic) He out dps's me, and the other hunter out
dps's him. i can ask him what his rotation is and then privately give
you his toon name and realm for you to check out and compare if your
interested. He is the best hunter I personally know...like I said, if
your interested, I'll ask. :)

yeah - just don't want to post his toon name and realm to a group like that... :) I'll ask him tonight his typical rotations. It's our BH and fun night on "reset tuesdays" here in the US. (provided we have TB, anyway.) We get our mains and alts through BH, then go do three drakes down in 25 man OS for a chance at the drake, and then any other instance that tickles our fancy. :)
