Dedicated to my wife who was healing for the first time in a Cataclys
eDungeon with her druid. The interesting part is a little later on in
the post.
We ended up in Grim Batol. I had my hunter. She was worried. I told
her if my Shaman could heal this place her druid can heal it. She
looked at the tank. "Oh crap, a Death Knight!". She is concerned with
DKs because she has noticed from our other dungeons that they seem to
take ore damage than other tanks, which is true sometimes.
On the first 3 pulls the tank died twice but there were no wipes. We
hopped on the drakes and flew the circle. Then the DK tank left. He
told us he was "squishy". He did have several WotLK items still and I
gather that his item level might just have passed.
I told my wife she did well considering the gear the tank had.
We picked up a new tank and we moved through the place fine. After th
dthird boss tyhe tank left.
Now here is the interesting part. We get a pally tank. The mobs right
after the 3rd boss were all dead from our fly-by. So we had the mobs
around the corner and the pat guy who summons the drake.
The tank ran up to the corner and threw the shield at the pack inside
that hall there and runs in. Just as the tank did this my wifes says
"SHIT! THE PAT!". The drake guy was leaving the pack of mobs and
walking in our direction. The tnak missed that. The drake guy ran in
and began the fight and was calling the drake down. I told my wife
this is not going to be easy and will probably end up being a wipe.
She tried her best but there was just too much pounding going on. I
mean that pull is tough enough without the drake guy I can only
imagine how it is with the drake guy.
Yeah we wiped. The tank said he had to heal himself a lot and the
healer sucked and then the tank left.
Al lthe rest of us knew what happened there and nobody complained
about the healing and the other DPS were nto happy with what the tank
did. I was talking about it bieng a healer's nightmare what that tank
did just as the new tank arrived. The new tank asked what happened an
tI told him that the other tank charged that pack without taking out
the drake guy and the drake guy joined in the fight.
The new tank replied "ewwww".
Well now it is time to welcome my wife to the healing in Cataclysm. I
yappears that druids can have mana issues in Cataclysm but I am sure m
ewife will do just fine as she progresses through as she uses her
Innervates as needed.
My wife will not post here so I put the story in the Healer Support
Group. I told her I was going to. She awaits the comments. I will
relay them to her.
In the meantime beware of tanks who charge mobs without taking out th
pats beforehand.
It's a killer.

I think something like a "Healer Support Group" facebook group, or
even guild-portal "HSG" website is what they're after. Interesting
idea actually.
