You didn't lvl in healer spec lol ;-) I can tell you now there's a few
I would not have been able to solo, and Twilight Highlands which I
*have* soloed so far (must be near the end) there was one I did solo
but only JUST (the dragon in the cave where you get a red dragon to
tank, failed it first time, used every mana regen buff I could think
of the 2nd time and just got it down - realising I could just ignore
the whelps helped there). Ok so insane respawn rates is a significant
part of my problem; most of the way I'd have been alright without
instarespawns (which is still an issue in Tol Barad!) but still, to me
it's felt a lot more challenging than WotLK levelling was.
I started playing my Priest again recently. She's Holy, and still
quested well as that, but if she was going to be anything like my
Paladin, the more she levelled, the harder it was going to get, with
the increased mana costs.
So I specced her second spec as Shadow, which she hasn't been since
TBC. Goodness. Anything I have to fight with more than one mob
destroys me, especially if I can't get the "jump" on the second mob
but DoTting it up first and Mind Flaying from a distance.
There's a quest in Deepholm that has you retrieving a hammer from two
Trogg dudes who are taming a Basilisk. Well, my goodness. Each of
their physical hits, let alone the special ones, were hitting me for
over 7,000 each - a lot, when you have 70,000 health. My VE heals for
nothing. My bubble is gone in one hit.
So then I panic and start healing myself, then stand there with a dumb
look on my face because my action bar is all messed up. Well, of
course it is. I'm not in Shadowform anymore.
I don't think that it would have mattered much. My priest seems to heal for about 5% of her health bar when she's in Shadow form. :)
I doubt I will be running TB dailies on my Priest, either. I know what
the mobs there hit my 116,000 life, ilvl 351-clad Paladin for, and he
doesn't even have to shift form to heal himself (that's done by Shift-
left clicking over his box on Healbot for a three Holy Power Word of
Glory - instant cast, non form-shifting 20,000 heal).
It gets easier. My Priest's got an average item level of about 304 in her DPS gear. She has 102k life and usually stops for mana breaks before she needs to stop for health breaks doing TB dailies (provided she pulls carefully :P).
