Eh. I dislike changes that increases the chances that people will
just brute force through the fight, instead of (in this case) moving
behind the dragon as intended.

And speaking of which, this is the one heroics change I believe is
unwise. It is not a bad thing to teach players during a non-boss
encounter the wisdom of running away when an AoE is being cast!

Shadowfang Keep
a.. Baron Ashbury
a.. Sadly, in his hubris he has forgotten how to Mend Rotten Flesh.

I wish this change would have instead been the spell being cast less
often, so that even if the DPS has no interrupts at all a tank (and as
of 4.0.6 all tanks will have 10-second interrupts) could solo handle
both it and Stay of Execution. (Pain and Suffering can be dispelled so
is less important.)

a.. Stonecore Earthshapers' Dust Storm does slightly less damage.

Hopefully still not healable through, so that groups must still use CC
and/or interrupt the transformations.

b.. Corborus
a.. The warning time for Thrashing Charge has been increased by 1
second. In addition, Thrashing Charge now happens 4 times, down from 5.

This is the one change I believe was necessary; the abruptness between
the warning "dust" and Corborus' underground attack is brutal.

b.. The cast time of Shatter has been increased to 3 seconds, up from
2.5.

Unnecessary. Everyone should already (trying to) move as soon as
Paralysis hits.

c.. Shatter damage is now reduced by armor, but has been increased by
33.3% (repeating, of course) as a result.

I'm not sure whether this means that a tank no longer has to move
during Shatter. If so I am disappointed; the fight is ridiculously
straightforward in its mechanics with a competent tank.

Throne of the Tides
a.. The damage done by Lady Naz'jatar's Shock Blast and Naz'jar Tempest
Witch Chain Lightning has been reduced.

I approve for Chain Lightning; it could one-shot a tank if not
interrupted and it was possible for a random group to not have the
necessary CC. Shock Blast could be interrupted by the tank alone,
though.

a.. Vindication no longer allows Hammer of Justice to interrupt
stun-immune targets. With Rebuke baseline, this functionality is no longer
necessary.

The baseline Rebuke is very welcome, although with Grand Crusader
procs and planning Avenger's Shield served as an adequate supplement
to Hammer of Justice for interrupts.

b.. A socket has been added to all crafted epic armor pieces that did not
already have one.

This is welcome; now there is reason to craft (for example) the
plate tank chest.

a.. The Electrified Ether recipe now creates 2 to 3 Electrified Ether
instead of 1.

I wonder if this was done to reduce Electrified Ether prices? It was
quite possible for engineers to make some money by turning two
Volatile Airs into one Electrified Ether.

c.. Synapse Springs now increase Agility, Strength, or Intellect
(whichever is highest for the character).

Welcome news for non-caster engineers, who do not have a good
Cataclysm replacement for the pyro rockets.
