Good! The current cost is ridiculous, by the time I've buffed that and
inner fire (and even worse if I want shadow prot too) I have to sit
down and drink since half my mana's gone.
I still remember the vanilla days, before the Prayer Of Fortitude, when you
could just buff 1 person at a time. 40-man raids were a killer - buff a group,
sit down to drink, buff the next group ... zzzz...
Omg argh! I didn't realise there was a day where the prayer didn't
exist at all, I remember when it only worked on one group though, that
was always annoying, especially since more often than not the other
priest would be "helpful" and buff your assigned group, right after
you did, great, one wasted candle! Used to have to carry 3-4 stacks of
candles on Kara runs, hate to think how bad it was for 25-mans or
40-mans!
* The mana cost of Renew has been reduced by 24%.
No complaints here, it feels a bit high at present. I'm used to just
hitting renew to top people off but Heal is far cheaper at present.
Ok, it should be cheaper, but not THAT much imo.
I tend to mainly use Renew with Chakra Heal at the moment, which means
casting it once and keeping it up with Heal, so reduced cost is of minimal
benefit I think. But anything to reduce mana usage is welcome.
Yeah that's a plus point for tank healing but I've always been in the
habit of just putting renew on a dpser who took a little damage,
rather than winding up a long cast heal. The GCD reduction talent
would appear to be a help with that, but the mana efficiency didn't
make it too worthwhile right now. Hopefully this change helps (it'll
also become way more efficient when I get my haste up for that 5th
tick)
+ Desperate Prayer now heals the priest for 30% of
their total health, up from a very subpar value.
Now that may make it worth considering in my new respec. It looked so
garbage before that I knew I'd never ever use it even if I felt like
wasting a talent point.
I've always found it quite useful, but specced out of it in Cataclysm because
it healed for so little. Now I can't find a talent point I want to drop to
swap for it.
Hehe I'll likely have that issue too. Don't think I've ever taken it,
obviously it wasn't available till WotLK and at that point it looked
like an instant cast low mana flash heal, which didn't seem that worth
while when I could use the same GCD time on a binding heal and heal
myself for as much, just 1.3 sec later, with the benefit of healing
someone else. This expansion it looked so low as to be not even
remotely worth it, but 30% of my health, hmm... over 35k heal? Yes
please... it's just a shame I can only get that in my healing build
and not my soloing one.
+ Holy Concentration now increases the amount of
mana regeneration from Spirit while in combat by an additional 15/30%,
down from 20/40%.
I was expecting that to happen, a shame but oh well. My gear hasn't
got as much spirit on it as I'd like for the 90% regen, never mind 80%
so some work to go!
Indeed. My mana regen is something like 3000mp5 in combat (which seems huge!) but
I can still struggle a little for mana. Oh well, mana management can add an
interesting dimension to a fight.
Looking at armory you have about 700 more spirit than me ;-) So yeah,
you can imagine my feelings atm :-P Glad to see it's not just me
that's had to reforge spirit onto less optimal pieces btw - seems a
massive challenge to actually find a full set of spirit gear right
now!
Btw, may I suggest the Ram'kahen honoured ring? You can get that from
questing only, even if your tabard priority is elsewhere, and it's a
spirit upgrade for you at least, though you may prefer other secondary
stats :-)
