I managed to get to 84 by fully questing through Vashj'ir and digging
archeology to 188. I then quested through all of Uldum and a little into
Twilight Highlands for 85. It seems that there will be plenty of variation
for my other toons.
I don't understand why we are getting experience for some tradeskills
and not others. It's very odd. I've noticed experience gains for
herbalism and mining but not skinning. It's also got it for
archeology but not tailoring, jewelcrafting or leatherworking. I
wonder what the reasoning is behind which do and which don't give
experience.
Someone said skinning is because you've already got the XP from killing the mob. That makes some sort of sense I guess, but I wouldn't mind seeing a cite for that (blue post).
