There is a chat line stating that you lost rep with the Timbermaws.

In the old Azshara there were some Timbermaws in the north. Sometimes
I would see people attacking them. You'd be in Azshara, what, mid-40s
- before you went to Felwood. My point was, I'm not sure how many
people would think, "Hmm, I lost rep with the Timbermaw. Hey! Aren't
they those Furbolg dudes that roam the tunnel between Felwood and
Winterspring? Maybe I should stop killing these dudes". Sometimes the
game can be tricky.

You pretty much had to go through Felwood to get to Winterspring.
(possible to port to that druidy place and go that way via a seasonal
event or being a druid though).
Felwood was a low 50's level while Winterspring was more a mid to high
50's level. So people wouldn't be running across the Winterspring
Timbermaw until after they'd been through the Timbermaw's home tunnel.

The real trick of the game is that by the time you've come across the
Timbermaw and possibly killed some of them to get the - rep message,
you've quite likely killed some of the Bloodsail goblins and gotten
the -Bloodsail message. (along with the + other goblin rep message).
At least I recall seeing - Bloodsail rep messages here and there. But
in anycase, you'll have been conditioned to not necessarily think that
-rep with a certain faction is necessarily a bad thing even though
with the Timbermaw, it is essentially a bad thing.
