Likewise with blaster (DPS or Balance) Druids. 3 TPs in Nature's Focus in the Restoration Talent Tree is practically mandatory (to reduce pushback of, among other spells, Wrath), and preferably ASAP, and 2 more TPs in Improved Mark of the Wild makes sweet buffery even sweeter, although they are not always taken in the teens.

But yes, as you say, if the change are extensive, that may no longer be a problem.
