Indeed. I don't particularly like that feature and I wish there was an
option to remove it.

Me too - thankfully the only 2 people I use it with, a) know each
other anyway, and b) don't have any friends on it other than me, so
it's not a privacy issue atm... but I don't want to add any more
social people who have loads of friends on it really. Optional friends
of friends possibility is a great idea, but... optional!
