The new ToS states that Blizzard now views your personal information
as a company asset, to be leased / sold to whomever they please.

Where does it say that, exactly?

In the privacy statement actually.

They seem to have made some kind of deal with Facebook, the details
of which are sketchy to non-existent.

What exactly is the source of this "information"?

It also seems, unless you read further fine print and jump through
the hoops just so, your data is not deleted if you just cancel your
account.

Hasn't that always been the case?
All you have to do is send an email, and your details are deleted.

You are correct, I just wonder if they think they still 'own' your details,
even after you leave.
