That should reduce hacked accounts to close to zero and might have a
knock-on effect of reducing gold-selling spam (as they'll lose account
hacking as a means of getting gold so won't have as much to sell)

I can see some people objecting though.

If they offer the authenticator free with your acct. it shouldn't be an issue.

I just sent for an authenticator, because I am GM of a couple of guilds and I feel a responsibility to be extra careful about the security of my account.
