Ok I love this LFG tool

Having the most fun in WoW that I've had in ages currently - when the
new LFG tool came out I decided to make a dwarf priest on a random
server (so as to level without help/gold/items from higher level alts)
and level him entirely by instances (well, after questing to 15 to be
able to access LFG - since then I've only been around Ironforge with
the odd trip to Stormwnd to pick up instance quests, never outside the
towns (except to learn riding skill)).
I was away over the holiday period so didn't get that far immediately
but I've gone 19-26 in the last 3 days and I'm having an absolute
blast with it - I'd forgotten just how fun healing is in level
appropriate groups, since my 80 priest's outgeared pretty much
everything for ages (except the newer instances which tend to be a bit
too full of elitists ready to jump on you for the least mistake, which
doesn't make the challenge an enjoyable thing for me)
Had some nightmare groups, a lot of "tanks" with zero clue (starting
to consider taking some of the more pvp-ish talents since I all too
often end up offtanking, sigh - is it *really* so hard to understand
the concept of hitting an aoe spell now and again if you're the
tank?), plenty of impatient dps who pull things when the tank's not
ready, or I'm oom, but usually we get through ok.
The good groups are great - get a tank who knows what spells hold
aggro and we can do great things! Had a BFD group early where we ended
up pulling pretty much the entire room with Kelris in, thankfully not
all at once but every time we'd get some down somebody would get MC'd
or a runner would go and aggro something else... getting through that
with almost no mana left but everyone alive felt great! And then the
shaman kindly lit all 4 candles at once... thank goodness for a tank
with great threat generation, as we survived it! That's the kind of
fight I love, where you really have to work for it but it comes out
right in the end :-)
Btw you can tell schools are still on holiday in a lot of places...
the number of groups I've been in with at least one member bouncing
around like a grasshopper is pretty high - never a good sign when
you've not even started and there's bounce bounce bounce in your
screen :-P Always in the daytime, my latenight groups have been free
of that and generally much more successful too - far less people
dropping out or randomly afk'ing, hmmm ;-)
