A lot less of it actually. My lock is 468 for hit capped
Hit cap for a lock 446. Do you have 3/3 Suppression? If so that brings it
down to 368. So, question here is, are you 24 hit over the cap, or are you
3/3 Suppression and typoed 368 as 468?
so it says i can get rid of over 400 hit to do a lvl 82.
Based on what I read, hit rating cap for a caster to never miss a lvl 82
enemy is 158 hit rating(assuming you have no spell hit from talents and no
boomkin/shadow priest providing their debuffs on targets) so while it is
indeed a lot less, getting rid of 400 hit would not leave you capped vs an
82, either.
Ahhhh 468 right. OK my lock is spec'd at 0/40/31 on one of his specs.
He has 3% from talent points and he has 272 hit at the moment. I have
the BG trinket that gives me 95 hit when its equipped. Hit Assist
tells me that I can lose 193 hit for a lvl 82 which would leave me 79
hit.
I have another spec of 3 (supression)/13/55. That is my raiding spec
and I equip the 95 hit trinket depending on who is in the party.
Although I must say I have more crit and haste on the 40/31 spec I can
only cast decimanition when the mob hits 35% or less. If it is
Korolon I can cast a lot of them. Where as I can cast Chaos Bolt
every 10 or 12 secs for the whole fight.
You do have to have some hit but not a lot for instances. Most locks
I have seen generally have around 200 hit or so.
