Not sure I'm following. Do you mean "Earthbind Totem" or the earth totem
item that's in your inventory? If you mean the one in your inventory, you
don't cast it at all, it allows you to cast earth totems(such as Stoneskin).
Each totem spell(such as Stoneskin) has an associated element with it, and
to cast a totem of that element, you have to have the appropriate totem type
in your bag(until you get the relic that counts as all 4 totems)
