I'm trying to imagine why anyone to want to duo either Coren or the
HH. Five people  gives you far more chances to get a rare drop. Since
some or many will already have the drop, your chances of getting it go
up.

No, they go down, because you have competition. Going with one other
person who you know doesn't want what you need, means you're guaranteed
to win if it drops. 3 chances of a guaranteed win vs 5 of having to roll
against 4 other people, no contest.

Hmm... it's more complex than that. People who already have the item
can't get it twice, and at this point I'm finding that in a given 5-
person group, 2 or 3 have completed the achievement. So you get 5
bites at the apple, with only 2-3 competitors.

That surprises me, since if people have got the achievement, they no
longer have a reason to do HH. Can't imagine *that* many wanting the
uber low droprate mounts that there'd be likely to be half the group
wanting nothing else.

Plus, until today, you got the achievement simply for having the pet
or the helm in your bag. Since you can now trade soulbinding items in
group for a couple hours after acquiring them, if one hallowed helm or
squashling dropped, it was being passed around the entire group, with
everyone getting the achievement. Sadly that seems to have been nerfed
with todays maintenance.

I was reading that even before today, if you got the achievement, you
then lost it when you left the instance if you didn't still have the
item. And you had to learn the pet to get credit even before maintenance
- I only got the achievement when I learned the pet, not when it landed
in my bags, and that was last night, before maintenance (perhaps it was
different on US servers).

How are you getting 3 turns with two people? The Goldshire quest works
only once, right?

Like I said further down, we both have 2 accounts, and as the limit is
lvl 75+, my 76 shaman (on my other account) can also summon (my druid
can also but is same account as my priest). Touch annoying that lvl 70s
can't summon or we'd have 4 between us (and more on swapping alts
around, although since I'd have to take over tanking that wouldn't help
my priest out much) - between us we have 10 70+ characters on Horde so
it's a little annoying that we can't use them for summons on a lot of
events!
