With now less than 4 hours of Faire less, I can say that, yes, it does still work.
Don't buy the blue gems costing 12g each, at least not on my server. Everything else is worth buying, as in profits of several hundred percent, although some may choose to skip in Bruiseweed (I'm not) or the less valuable leathers (I'm not either).
I'm raking in *huge* amounts of gold. Several hundreds, so far. I'll probably end up with a profit of 1000 gold, perhaps 1500, or even close to 2000.
It isn't worthwhile for a level 80, but if you're rather lower level than that, it *is* worth spending some time on.
