You can fly into Dalaran now, no near instant dismount, but even before
you could soft land
near your destination without having to go through customs. :-)
Straight to bank, hall-o-ports, the new auctioneer for engineers, almost
everywhere
is reachable before dismount, nearly to the bottom of the sewers at times.

Not for me, it isn't. I can barely get past the landing before I'm
dismounted.
