OK, so I'm pretty much new to the PvP stuff, running as I do on a PvE
server. So I give Blue Sky Logging Camp a try a while back and a horde
Blood Elf magician zaps me while I'm trying to do the dailies. So I res
back and return the favor. But as I'm offing the sneaky bugger, another
Alliance player scolds me for attacking someone "just doing dailies."
Is there a supposed polite mode I don't know about? Because I'm trying
to get herb pouches in the Stepps of Life and this Horde shaman keeps
hitting me from ambush before I can even defend myself.

Well Blizzard is trying to force PvP on people, hence whole zones of
pvp, and those daily quests which make you PvP for as long as you have
the quest in your quest log - and that's by design. I totally avoid all
those PvP enabling dailies, so I'd suggest if people don't do that they
should expect to be shot at - surely that's Blizzards design.

As to what is the polite thing to do - well, i guess that depends on the
Individual. On the one hand it would be annoying if you are just trying
to get gold, on the other there are more than 25 other dailes you could
do.

If gold is the only reason, you are 100% right. But if you're grinding
rep or trying for Achievements then sometimes you have no choice. To
go Exalted with the Vanguard one could spend a lifetime sailing around
the bay bombing pirates or shooting down gargoyles, but to do that in
something akin to a reasonable time frame, you have to consider Blue Sky.

You realise that doing any quest for any of the four alliance factions in
Northrend will always give you "spill over" rep for the vanguard? You're
likely to be exalted with them before turning 80 without doing a single
daily quest...

Cheers
