LOL, I like that. "If in trouble, pull more". Sounds like some of the tanks
in my main's guild - they think OOM means "out of monsters" so they pull
more. Makes for some great speed runs :D

[Devotion Aura]

Nah. Well, maybe if you're not all that well geared compared to the
instance. Or have another pally in the group that can provide the Ret
Aura. But you want the Ret Aura in instances to help you generate
more threat and keep the mobs on you.

OK, retribution aura first, swicth to devotion if we're in trouble. Will
keep that in mind, cheers.

And a few more things:

1) I assume my main stats will be strength and stamina, yeah? I think I
saw
somewhere that stamina gives a paladin spellpower, is that right?

Yup! It's a prot talent. Pretty sure that spec you linked had it
filled in.

2) Fast one hander and a shield I presume?

Bingo! For ideal use with the reckoning talent, you want a weapon no
slower than 2.00. Though if you have haste on your gear, the exact
maths could get complicated. ; )

Pff, don't make me do maths in the middle of the night (or any other time
for that matter ;). I'll just stick with "no slower than 2.00".

3) What should I put on my shield? Some time ago some people here talked
about a "hedgehog paladin" which was a prot pally they used or AoE
grinding.
I remember one of the vital things being the best shield spike money could
buy. Is this still the "enchant" of choice?

A shield spike will provide you with a little bit more damage and thus
threat, but depending on your other gear, you may want a +defense
enchant to make you immune to crits. Though that's not such as issue
while solo'ing.

OK, will take a look at the alternatives before deciding.

Once you get shield of righteousness at 75, you might consider getting
some Titanium Plating to put on your shield. The increased block
value from it (and any block value stat on other gear too) will
increase the damage you do with SoR and reduce the damage you take by
blocking more of it.

Yeah, I looked at our pally tank's gear after posting here, and he had that
titanium plating on his shield. Didn't look like it would be too expensice
to make either, so I'll look at that when I hit 75.

As a side note, now that we're speaking about shield enchants: is the
intellect enchant the best there is for some spec/class combo? The scrolls
go for insane amounts on AH compared to the mats it takes to make them. Just
wondering :)
