This page is good reading on how to handle instances as a newbie:

But basically follow these rules and you'll do fine in most early
instances:

Turn off aggro generation talents unless you're the tank.

Only attack the tank or designated puller's target. /focus on them can
help track their targets more easily. Also wait a few seconds till the
tank has aggro before you unleash hell.

Watch your threat meter - I use Pitbull (which is also a complete unit
frames replacement), but I'm sure someone here can recommend just a
basic threat meter which would be a simpler start. If you get 100%
threat stop attacking and/or use talents like fade or feign death that
temporarily reduce threat.

Never run away in an instance - threat is forever inside them. As soon
as you run away your armor drops to zero and you're basically
guaranteeing you'll be hit. If you do move it should only ever be
TOWARDS the tank or healer. Remember the tank can't get aggro off you if
you run away and the healer can't heal you. But mostly stay put (so make
sure you're in range of the healer before you engage the enemy), except
if...

If you're about to wipe and you can resurrect yourself, try and move to
a place where no mobs will be hanging around when you die.

Read the above article and those it links to for more info.

Thanks Jamie!
I did manage to do The Deadmines yesterday with a fellow guildie (I keep joining and leaving guilds, lol), but we didn't use any strategy at all since he was lv53 and could easily kill almost any monster with one/two shots.
I'll try Blackfathom Deeps next, as soon as I have some free time. My mom is getting mad at me for playing too much.

Feign Death is so cool! I use it just for fun :)
