That was my exact thought as I read this. :-)

the '??' level means "more than 10 level levels above you." Yeah, I got
killed mercilessly when I wandered into a high level zone before I knew
what I was doing. This group helped me figure out how to salvage my
toon and move forward with the game.

In another couple levels, they would not have been '??", but would have
been "very red" and beaten the crap of you. :-)

Getting the flight point in BB was good, and you can get a nice advance
fishing book there that will make you a gold or two in the Auction House
if you wish. Beyond that, wait about 10 levels to venture into that
region.
