For some reason Spaces no longer works while I am running WoW in
windowed mode with the screen maximized. It works when the screen is
not maximized.
This is annoying, because I was accustomed to having a separate desktop
space just for WoW, allowing me to switch instantly to my browser
desktop or my documents desktop.
Why not maximiize the window and put it in its own space? That is how
I've used WoW for a couple years, and it works fine under 10.6 too. My
first reaction to your report was to say "it works fine for me", but
your last sentence of the first paragraph clarified the difference.
Turns out I was wrong... I have two monitors, and often click on iTunes
of FireFox open on the second Cinema monitor when playing WoW. If I do
that (and thus WoW is not the active program), spaces works fine. If I
try to switch spaces while WoW is active though, no dice.
If you only have one monitor, I guess that means spaces no longer works
with WoW...
I checked the key bindings, and saw that control-1 through 0 are now
assigned to the secondary action bar. I tried to unbind those, thinking
that would free up the spaces keys, but no dice again. Apparently WoW
is capturing the keystrokes and not passing them on to the OS -- at
least not in a way that Snow Leopard understands.
Not sure where the bug report forum for Mac WoW is, but sounds like
something to report there, so it can get fixed in a patch.
