Can you point me to where it says you can't do it until lvl 85? I've read
the panels, scoured the forums, and looked at whatever I could find, and

No, in fact they did mention this in one of the panels. They said they would
hate to spend so much time on creating new content for people to just miss
it by flying past. They didn't say outright that you couldn't fly till 85
but they did make it pretty clear that we won't be flying in Azeroth at
80...

And looking back I have to say I found it pretty cool having to ride through
most of Northrend on my first char and now being able to fly on my
consecutive chars being levelled up.¨

That's all well and fine for you slowpokes, but I had 3 characters up
before they did that!

And I hate it, I have a need to fly so feel compelled to fly through the
"content" as fast as humanly possible. So the lower the level we get it
back the better.


I guess they will add something similar
with cataclysm as well (any one come up with a good abbreviation for that
yet? CATA?).
