Ehhh... *shrug* Linux reuses the PC and there's been plenty of info
given here and huge amount elsewhere online about improving Windows
security, both in general and as it relates to WoW.

Maybe, but if someone asks a specific question, as in your example, they're
likely looking for a specific answer to their specific problem. "Get a new
system" is not an answer to their problem. Perhaps you should tell them
"there's been plenty of info given here and huge amount elsewhere online
about improving Windows security, both in general and as it relates to WoW."
rather than telling them to change what they're using.

I mean I see it all the time - post after post in various
forums about people's accounts being compromised.

Maybe you do, but that's not what your original example stated.

I see no reason not to bring it up as an option.

As one option, not the ONLY option, as your original example put it.

Even then I would not, unless the OP asked for help, INCLUDING maybe a
platform that would prevent it. If someone says "I am running Win XP
home on a 2.8 GHz PC with 3 GB of RAM, and I have the following
problem, does anyone know a solution", he has made it ABUNDANTLY clear
that he wants a solution for HIS machine with HIS operating system,
elsewise he would ask "Is there a platform that is less vulnerable".
Unless one assumes that no one really knows how to ask a proper
question, and I will not, unless otherwise inspired, make that leap of
logic.

In any case, a good V-Scanner and a good firewall will prevent 99% of
the issues.

The reasons people with MACS and Linux boxes do not suffer isn't
because the platform is any better, it's really not any less hackable
than Windows. The reason is simple numbers. If someone is of evil
intent and decides to code up a virus or trojan, they will naturally
do it to attack a Windows machine, given that 90% of home systems have
a Windows platform.

In case anyone gives a shit, I've been testing respecs a bit, in the
end it's down to "divine aegis vs surge of light vs spirit tap, pick
two", and divine aegis clearly doesn't work, too unreliable, and you
go oom in a fingersnap.
