Scan seems to take 20 mins or so.

There is an option on top marked with >> for fast scan compered to > that is
the slow 20 min scan.


I think I might uninstall auctioneer because all I ever do is sell
stuff I dont need on it and buy stuff I want. Not interested in using
it to make gold.

Auctioneer isnt made really to buy stuff as much as it is for selling stuff
and trust me you will need the gold at higher levels!
For example: swift flying is 5000g, cold weather flying in northrend is
1000g, a crafted epic mace that is needed at lvl 80 is around 1000g and so
on.
